Phek, February 10 (MExN): A 12 days Induction Training Programme for Phek District, sponsored by the DOPT, Government of India and organized and conducted by Administrative Training Institute, Nagaland, Kohima concluded at Shilloi Lake on February 7.
In programme, which started on January 27, various topics on personality development were taken up by the District Master Trainers who were trained by the DOPT at Kolkata. The other topics on Office procedures were taken up by Dr. Hovithal N. Sothu, Course Coordinator.
Deputy Commissioner Phek District Moruhu Chotso exhorted the participants on February 5. The DC encouraged the participants to be committed in their work place and bring about the required change in the society.
The participants were taken to Old Thewati, New Thewati and Liitsam villages under Pungkhuri EAC Headquarter for field study, to study – “Village functioning with special reference to role of women”, “Livelihood of the villages with special reference to Agricultural practices”, “Education”, “ Disaster with special reference to the Flash flood of 2015”, “Health”, “Transportation and Communication” and “ Welfare Schemes of the Government”.
The valedictory function was held on February 7 at Shilloi Lake, with Lithrongla G.Chishi, IAS., Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Transport Department, and Director, Administrative Training Institute as the Guest of Honour. In her valedictory speech she stressed on the need to be more dedicated and committed to work, wanting Government Servants to maintain office timing. She also impressed upon the participants to help the public without fear or prejudice.
All together 37 participants attended the training and were awarded with participatory certificates by the Director.
