Industrial Village Razhuphe Dimapur (IVRD) celebrated its golden jubilee at the compound of its village advisor and head GB, T.L. Angami IVR near DC Office on Saturday.
Chairman of Chümoukedima Village Council (CVD), Razouvotuo Chatsu graced the occasion as the guest of honour who also unveiled the jubilee monolith.
In his address, Chatsu said jubilee was a time of celebration and should be accompanied by forgiving and forgetting the wrong doings of the past and renew minds and life for a new beginning.
He persuaded the gathering to show unconditional unity without distinction amongst each other in any manner. He reminded the gathering not to forget the struggle of the ancestors and to make an effort to endow the youngsters to protect the history of the village.
Head GB and founder of the village T.L. Angami in his brief jubilee message encouraged the gathering to live in unity and cooperation. Former president and advisor, Tali Pongen; retired secretary of the Village Development Board C.K. Nihekhu Sema and BDO Ollem Longkumer also spoke on the occasion.
The program was chaired by I. Lima Ao and welcome speech was delivered by IVRD secretary, Keneingulie Sorunuo. Sumi Fellowship IVRD, DC Court area presented a song. Secretary, IVRD, Masatoshi delivered the vote of thanks and Asst. Pastor, Angami Baptist Church, IVR, Lhousielie Pienyu pronounced the invocation.
