Kohima, March 27 (MExN): Under PM’s package for employment generation of 25,000 youths in the state, the department of industries and commerce has worked out an approach paper, modal in a consolidated list of economically viable and feasible schemes of village and small scale industries including Khadi approved industries, agri and horticulture based industries, floriculture industries, medicinal and aromatic plants including herbs and natural dyes, tourism industries and small roads transport operation through NIDC for interested and educated unemployed youth to set up small scale industries and small scale service and business enterprises in the next two years.
The projected total fund requirement under industries and allied sectors is to the tune of Rs. 9780.00 lakh from package of Rs. 250 crore and expected employment avenues are 11,161 persons. This was stated in the annual administrative report of the department presented at the budget session last week.
