Converts it into ‘Happy School’ under Teach Mission
Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): Innerwheel Club of Dimapur is working on literacy and is adopting government schools. The Club has adopted the Government Middle School at Zeliangrong village and has converted it into ‘Happy School’ under the Teach Mission.
The Happy School was inaugurated on February 25 by the club’s district chairman under the presidentship of Dr. Khushboo Agarwal and club literacy chairperson Asha Sharma.
A press release informed that the club provided running water in the school toilets, renovated and painted the school building, completed roofing at places, set up a library for students, donated sports equipment and shoes, socks for children.
The club aims to make government schools more equipped to decrease the dropout rates, the release stated.
“The club will continue to be associated with the school providing them more support as and when required and is planning to adopt more schools in future. The club aims to have every school in Dimapur a Happy School and every individual a literate,” it added.
