On June 2, Additional Commissioner KN Ngully replaced Nagaland Commissioner HK Khullu who was earlier appointed as one-man Inquiry Commission by the Governor.
Reliable sources from the Sumi Totimi Hoho (apex Sumi women Hoho) informed that representatives from the STH of Zunheboto, STH, GBs, town council members, the Assistant Public Prosecutor, deputy commissioner and superintendent of police and others have been called to Zunheboto for the inquiry commission.
Also, STH sources informed that the sensational April 11 Zunheboto rape case is now transferred to Kohima High Court Bench and that the bail granted to the five accused including the main accused, Tito Kiba has been revoked. The STH has demanded that the case should be transferred to a higher court in Kohima. It had expressed doubt whether justice would be delivered at all if the case was tried in Zunheboto. Interestingly, the five accused are not behind bars as of now, the source informed. The Inquiry Commission would be looking into the various aspects of the April 11 rape case, and is expected to hold series of meeting with various groups and people on July 2.
