Institution should have basic amenities – DC

DIMAPUR, NOV 10 (MExN): Emphasizing that children are responsible for ushering in renovation, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Nzimongo Ngullie today challenged parents to nurture their children in the positive direction in this competitive world reminding that this is their primary obligation towards their children.

Addressing the parents’ day celebrations at Bethesda School, he said that parents’ support, environment of the institution and effort of the students are the three imperative mainstay to make the students qualified and thrive in education. “It is no an easy task to educate the children; however we need to educate them because they will become our seeds and posterity,” the DC reminded. Acknowledging parental support and sacrifice made for their children, he asked them to scrutinize their children whether they are really pursuing quality education.

Maintaining that to impart quality education well-qualified teachers and a good environment in the institution is needed, Ngullie asserted that the school should have basic amenities such as hygienic standards, health care and well-equipped teachers to further all-round personality development of the children.

Ngullie also reminded the teachers to assess their students and identify their weaknesses and qualities, guiding them in a proper way. He further encouraged the students to be sincere and obedient and to explore their hidden talents and potentialities in order extract the best from their education. Stay away from all the undesirable activities or else it would obliterate their career, Ngullie advised.

Aheto Sumi, President of ANPSA who was the guest of honor on the occasion, iterated that the apex body of all private schools was endeavoring to bring reformation and also aiming for a paradigm shift in the education system stating that it was to educate and mould the student and that they would rely on themselves and become self-sufficient. Expressing dismay over the present system of education in the state where educated persons are left unemployed owing to meager educational standard, he assured that the ANPSA was endeavoring to rectify these anomalies and to bring about a difference in the system of education in the state.

He also expressed satisfaction at the overall performance of the school and further acknowledged the school for implementing the common dream of the association. “When the children are developed, our future is developed and we can have a good harmonious future in the society,” he maintained.
