Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Nagaland Chapter acknowledged the cooperation and support rendered by different persons and institutions towards the successful completion of the exercise on awareness and heritage education conducted by the Heritage Education and Communication Wing of the INTACH.
A press release received here from the Co-Convenor of the INTACH, Nagaland Chapter, TL Merry, while acknowledging those who supported the programme, made particular mention of the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Abhishek Singh, Chuba Wati, EAC, Mokokchung, DC Dimapur, KN Ngullie, DIS of Dimapur, Mokokchung and Wokha, Principal and colleagues of MGHSS and EDHSS Mokokchung, all teachers concerned and the media fraternity for their help towards the programme.
The release stated that a day’s workshop each was conducted in the Mayangnokcha Government HSS, Mokokchung on April 10 and the Conference Hall, Circuit House Dimapur on April 13, wherein, besides the warm participation in the workshops, enthusiastic interaction took place with principals and teachers of educational institutions of Wokha and Kohima.
The release stated that in order to create and stimulate awareness among the students for the preservation of the cultural and natural heritage our land, teachers have been specifically involved in the workshop so that they can deliver it to the younger generation and set up Heritage Clubs in their respective schools.
The release stated that the resource persons from INTACH New Delhi were Depti Divya and Radha Dayal who enlightened the participants as well as all those who came into contact with them.
