Dimapur, March 4 (MExN): Dimapur ATMA-Aghunaqa block conducted within district farmers training on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) on March 2. Resource person Vinatoli (BTM) discussed about IPM and its programmes and the four tiered approach, a press release stated. Aketoli (ATM) demonstrated the use of pheromone traps and arkha neem soap, a bio-pesticide.


The afternoon session saw farmer-scientist interaction between Dr Lowrance Kithan (AICRP-SASRD), ATMA team and the farmers. The Aghunaqa block also visited farms of three farmers where Dr Kithan talked of the need and importance of intercultural practices, crop-spacing and intercropping. Altogether 24 farmers attended the training.
