DFO Phek, Enyiwekho Wezah along with the overall winning team of the inter departmental tournament, 2025 held at Phek.
Phek, November 7 (MExN): The Inter-departmental Tournament 2025, which began on November 4, concluded on November 6 at the Badminton Stadium, Phek. The closing ceremony featured the finals of arm wrestling, table tennis, and badminton in both men’s and women’s categories.
Special guest Enyiwekho Wezah, Divisional Forest Officer, Phek, thanked the district administration led by the deputy commissioner, the tournament organizers, heads of offices, participants, and staff of various departments for their cooperation.
Wezah stated that the tournament was not only for competition but also “to ease ourselves from our daily duties and get to know one another.”
In his closing remarks, Er. Yhunkolo Kath, Executive Engineer, Water Resources, Phek, said that unity, friendship, and oneness formed the spirit of the tournament. He further stressed that participation was more important than winning.
The programme was chaired by Kulo Kezo, District Employment Officer, Phek. A special number was presented by Ruveno Huire, and the closing prayer was offered by Wavitho Nyuwi, Pastor of Pochury Baptist Church, Phek Town
