JALUKIE, NOVEMBER 5 (MExN): The inaugural programme of the 7th Peren District Inter Departmental Badminton Tournament began at Indoor Badminton Stadium, Jalukie on November 5.
Addressing the inaugural function, ZBCC Youth Secretary, Dr Rampaikopoing Michui stated that the tournament is encouraging and hoped that coordination between various departments would be strengthened and further encouraged the participants to play with dignity and integrity.
In the opening match, in men’s double category, 9th IR Saijang defeated Youth Resources, Department. The two-day long tournament will conclude on November 6 with Deputy Commissioner Peren, Sentiwapang Aier as the guest of honour.
The programme was chaired by EAC Jalukie, C Wangan, NCS. The tournament was declared open by the special guest in the presence of ADC Jalukie and other dignitaries.
