Kohima, May 5 (MExN): The State Government has allowed inter district movement of local/indigenous people from May 7 to 9 and directed Deputy Commissioners across the State to make necessary arrangements to facilitate the movement of people to their respective destinations.
Additional Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen has informed all DC’s to consult with the respective district NST officials to provide free NST bus services for the transportation of such persons.
This movement regime is permitted only for local/indigenous people having permanent address in Nagaland.
For people of Mon district travelling in NST buses, the buses will take the Nagaland- Assam route escorted by police without any stoppages in Assam, while private vehicles moving to Mon district shall take the Kohima-Wokha-Mokokchung-Longleng route, Imchen said.
Special care should be taken to ensure that social distancing and other protocols are maintained at all times, such as compulsory use of face mask and disinfecting/sanitizing of buses etc.
