Inter-Govt Middle School Taekwondo meet at Kohima

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 18 (MExN): The first Inter-Government Middle School Taekwondo Championship, 2011 is undergoing at I.G Stadium, Kohima from 17th to 20th August 2011.A program was held today at I.G Stadium, Kohima. Speaking on the occasion, Kelei Zeliang, NCS Director, Youth Resources and Sports, encouraged the Students to concentrate in the discipline they have chosen, and to try hard so as to bring laurels to the State in the years to come. He added that with sincerity and dedication, we can shine not only in the State level but also in the National and International levels. O.T. Chingmak Chang, NCS, State Mission Director, SSA, in his speech said that Taekwondo is best suited for the Naga students and inspired the students to exhibit physical development along with mental and spiritual development.
Earlier, the invocation prayer was pronounced by Pete Krose, Vice Principal, Kohima Bible College. The Welcome Address was given by Visabiu Peseyie, Taekwondo Coach, Youth Resources and Sports. Taekwondo demonstration was presented by the Taekwondo Trainees Sports Academy, I.G Stadium. This was followed by a special no. by the Sports Academy Students, I.G Stadium.
The Championship is organized by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, and sponsored by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).
