PHERIMA, DECEMBER 14 (MExN): An Inter-Ministerial Central Team along with the officials of the Department of Power, Nagaland visited the site of the damaged tower of the 132kV Dimapur – Kohima transmission line at Pherima on December 13 for spot verification and damage assessment.
The 132kV Dimapur – Kohima transmission line which is a major lifeline of the state capital and beyond is frequently affected by such natural calamities now and then. A landslide at Pherima along NH-29 eventually collapsed tower loc. No. 116 (Pic - i), and another tower loc. No. 145 on the bank of Chathe river at Jarnapani is badly affected due to soil erosion.
