A match in progress at the inter school football tournament organized by the Assam Rifles which got underway on October 25.
PHEK, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): An inter school football tournament organized by the Assam Rifles for school students got underway from October 25 at Phek.
A total of 285 students including boys and girls from 10 different schools of Phek town, Losami, Old Phek Villages of Phek district are participating in the tournament which will culminate on October 28, a press release issued by PRO, IGAR (North) informed.
The winner and runners up teams of both girls and boys will be awarded with trophies along with cash prizes and sports kits.
The tournament is aimed to encourage the local populace and students to instill physical fitness and sports in their life which will help them in character building and boost confidence in their life, the press release stated.
