DIMAPUR, MAY 1 (MExN): To foster lasting peace and mutual understanding in Nagaland, an Interfaith Leaders Meet on “Peaceful Co-existence” was convened at Peace Centre in Chümoukedima on April 27. The gathering, presided over by Rev Dr C.P Anto, Principal of NEISSR and Director of Peace Channel, epitomized the collective aspiration to forge a culture steeped in peace while nurturing profound respect for the rich tapestry of religious beliefs.
Rev Dr CP Anto, in his key note address, delineated the multifaceted objectives of the initiative, emphasizing the imperative of cultivating a robust culture of peace and engendering a spirit of profound appreciation among the diverse religious communities that grace Nagaland's landscape.
Anto articulated the vision to extend the reach of the Interfaith Leaders Meet to encompass every district of Nagaland, envisaging a cohesive platform for dialogue and understanding that transcends geographical boundaries, a press release issued by the Peace Channel reported.
In his address, Razouvotuo Chatsu, expounded upon the intrinsic value of nurturing relationships as an indomitable force in the propagation of peace. Chatsu highlight on the imperative of extending support and succor across the vast spectrum of cultural and religious delineations, emphasizing the indomitable spirit of unity and cooperation as the vanguard in setting an exemplary standard for other states to emulate.
President of Muslim Council, Dimapur, Ahidur Rehman underscored the transcendental nature of the collective endeavor towards peace, transcending the superficial divides of religious affiliations.
He eloquently extolled Nagaland as a bastion of tranquility, where individuals of disparate backgrounds coalesce harmoniously, attributing this harmony to the magnanimity and support extended by the Naga community.
