Internal misunderstandings resolved, says Z Royim-led NNC

DIMAPUR, MAY 15 (MExN): The Z Royim-led NNC (Parent Body) on Wednesday informed that it held consecutive high level meetings on May 14 and 15 to address what it termed as “recent misunderstanding” arising in the government set up.

According to a press release issued by the NNC (PB), the meeting which was held in the presence of army officials and regional representatives unanimously endorsed a unified stance to promote harmony and cooperation among all concerned parties underscoring the commitment to collective progress and stability.

It emphasised that there was unified support from Army wing headed by C-in-C Kiuetsangkiu and Lt Gen Kirenkiu and all region chairmen, secretaries and all rank and file.

The meeting also resulted in the unanimous decision to revoke the termination ordered issued by the President Z Royim on April 30, 2024 terminating GS, Home and UT-I1.

According to the release, the April 30 order was “issued without the consent of the central cabinet army wing and the regions” and deemed that it was not in the best interest of the organisation involved and the wider community.

Alleging that the president has been ignorant towards the actual goal of the Naga national government, having no communication with the central cabinet and the region, the meeting issued a “stern warning” to the president regarding the misuse of law and order.

It resolved that that any further attempts to exploit legal frameworks for personal purposes would be firmly opposed and further actions would be necessitated. It was emphasised that such actions undermine the integrity and stability of our government.

The meeting concluded with a resolution to continue dialogue and foster cooperation among all parties involved. A monitoring committee would be established to oversee the implementation of these resolutions and ensure the protection of stakeholder’s interests, the release added.
