Addressing the media people at Café Destination, Dimapur, Lipokmar Tzudir, chairman of Nagaland Music Education And Arts Society said that the ‘International Culture-Mix festival 2011’ will provide an opportunity for global and local artists of varied practices to engage in dialogues, sharing of ideas and experiences, workshops, expose and appreciate the uniqueness of each cultures and frame out future prospects for mutual benefits. Lipokmar also said that the cultural exchange is under the understanding that the Scandinavian and American musicians in return will also host a similar programme in Europe, probably July 2012.
Lipokmar also remarked that this was an opportunity for local artistes to share platform with global musicians and share ideas, interact and enter into deals for further collaborations. He further remarked that for too long, people of Nagaland has lagged way behind owing to myriad of reasons like lack of modern infrastructure and institutions, marred by years of insurgencies and a certain amount of neglect from certain sectors.  Lipokmar also said that interested artistes can inform the Society if they are interested to participate in the workshop.
