Mokokchung, May 12 (MExN): Along with the rest of the world community, International Nurses Day under the theme “Our Nurses. Our future” at the Multi Purpose Hall, SON Dr Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) Mokokchung on May 12.
Addressing during the occasion, Dr Kibangkumba, Chief Medical Officer MO Mokokchung called upon all the nurses to reaffirm their dedication to the call of the noble profession.
Maintaining that they are the backbone in all health care institution, he called upon all the nurses to be dedicated to implement all the health programmes initiated by the government, he added, as per the State DIPR.
He also emphasised the need for updating in order to perform their duties efficiently.
Earlier, delivering a speech on the theme Lipoksangla N/T said that the special day is a celebration of the service rendered by the nursing community for humanity.
As nursing community is front service provider, she urged all the stakeholders to the share the solidarity with the nurses while performing their duties.
The programme was chaired by T Temsusenla Aier VicePrincipal, School of Nursing, IMDH Mokokchung, while a special prayer for the nurses was pronounced by Pastor MTBA. The vote of thanks was proposed by Imolangla Jamir N/T.
