Kohima, July 28 (MExN): The Internet of Things (IoT) and 3D Printing Lab at NIELIT Kohima was inaugurated by Sethrongkyu, Advisor, Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics on July 28.
As per the State DIPR, the lab is equipped with cutting-edge technology and is expected to empower students to stay abreast of emerging technologies and innovations, thereby preparing them to compete on a global level.
The Advisor inaugurated the facilities while gracing the NIELIT Kohima fresher’s day held to welcome the first-year students of Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) at its campus. The Advisor also gave away certificates to the police participants undergoing advanced cyber forensics training at NIELIT Kohima.
The students’ ingenuity was on full display as they presented a range of IoT applications designed and built as part of their academic projects. These projects encompassed cutting-edge technologies and real-world applications. Some of the notable IoT applications showcased during the demonstration include Smart Parking System, Bluetooth Controlled Home Automation System, Smart Door Lock using RFID, LED Matrix using Arduino, Smart Street Light System, Radar using Arduino, and many more.
In addition to the impressive IoT applications, the Advisor also had the opportunity to witness the brilliance of NIELIT Kohima students in the realm of 3D printing technology.
Sethrongkyu commended the technical skills and creativity of the students. He emphasized the significance of such practical learning experiences in shaping future technocrats and contributing to the development of Nagaland’s technology landscape.
In his address, Sethrongkyu appreciated the well-equipped IT and Electronics infrastructure available at NIELIT Kohima. He emphasized the importance of quality technical education and committed to extending continuous support to further enhance technical education in Nagaland in the field of IT and Electronics sector. He urged the students to embrace hard work and commitment as the keys to success.
