
Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): The Institute of Psychology, Counselling and Educational Research (IPCER) Chümoukedima conducted a seminar on ‘Importance of Counselling’ and student exchange programme among Mount Mary College Chümoukedima and St. Joseph University, Sovima.
IPCER, Director, Nukshi Esther Imsong in a press release stated that during the seminar case presentations were made by two students David and Marla while the guest speaker, Susan Lotha, Juvenile Justice Members of Dimapur spoke on the importance to know the real meaning of counselling, and about oneself in order to prevent any kind of negative thoughts.
The programme was attended by BA/BCOM Final year of Mount Mary College and MA psychology students of St. Joseph University accompanied by HOD Dr. Watinaro.
The moderator for the case presentation was Nukshi Esther, Director of IPCER and programme was chaired by Christy, Student Counsellor, welcome speech by Chairman of MMC Dr. M Chuba Ao and word of encouragement was given by Principal of MMC C. Teeya Imsong.
IPCER with the motto ‘Change one’s mindset to bring a positive change in the society’ promotes psychology and positive mental health as a subject of interest with direct industry relevance among local student community.
