Kohima, June 16 (MExN): The India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) Services was formally inaugurated at Kiphire post Office by John Tsulise Sangtam, Deputy Commissioner Kiphire in the presence of L.Tiken Singh, Superintendent of Post Offices, Nagaland, on June 16 at Hopongkiu Memorial Hall, Kiphire.

With the launch of the IPPB Service at Kiphire Sub Post Office and 9 Branch post offices (Access Points), the people of the area will have easy access to banking services and can avail different banking facilities including schemes under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) at their door step, according to Superintendent of Posts, Nagaland Division, Kohima.

Earlier, Daniel Domeh, SA Kohima made a short presentation on IPPB. The programme was chaired by Hankiumong, Postal Staff, Pokphur BO while welcome address was delivered by Merenkiu Tikhir, Sub Postmaster, Kiphire SO. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shibu Das.
