IPR celebrates Advent Christmas

Kohima, December 16 (DIPR): The Directorate of Information & Public Relations celebrated Advent Christmas on December 15 at the Conference Hall, DIPR Kohima.  

Director, Limawati Ao who was the speaker on the occasion challenged the officers and staff of the department to forgive one another and withhold from holding grudges which is the main obstacle in building a good rapport in the working environment. He also said that peace does having a peaceful environment only within the office but it means having both inner and outer peace and maintain conducive environment with our fellow friends. He also urged the officers and staff to be more sincere in their duties as everyone has a purpose to serve wherever they are appointed. He said that we should be dedicated to our jobs and love what we do because a good number of our life is spent in the workplace.  

Additional Director, Dominic Yazokie in his Christmas greetings shared the importance of Christmas and how it induces our temperament especially during the festive season. He urged each and everyone to retrospect one’s life and have a peace of mind on this joyous occasion as it is revered and celebrated as the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ. He said that everything is predetermined by God and as such one should not be swayed or disappointed of who we are in this world. He also asked each and everyone to embrace and propagate the righteousness of forgive and forget on this joyous occasion.  

The programme was led by N. Wati Superintendent who also delivered the welcome address. Caroline Jamir gave the vote of thanks. Special song was presented by Kivili and friends while Deputy Director Asangla Imsong led the congregation in Bible reading. The highlight of the programme was choral competition among the various sections of the Department. The Advent Christmas was organised by the Establishment Section.
