
Kohima, March 1 (DIPR): Directorate of Information and Public Relations organized a farewell program in honour of the retired IPR officers and staff - Serila, UDA; Vikeyielie, Assistant Director and Renthy Jamir, Assistant Director on February 28 at the IPR conference hall.
Director IPR Imokokba in his exhortation said that as the Nagaland Government order everybody would retire by either service length or age, therefore everyone should excitingly work during one’s service tenure. He also urged the officers and staff to work sincerely to bring glory and laurel to the Department. The Director also encouraged the staff to follow good examples showed by the retired officers and staff. He also stressed that the Department is a source of their livelihood, but rather many people neglect and ignore their duties assigned by the government. In this, he urged the staff to be sincere and regular in the office and work united.
On behalf of the establishment section and technical section, Deputy Director, Tokishe Sema and Registrar, Yeshito gave short speeches and said that the retirement of the staff is quite an achievement in their service career as they are retiring in good health which everybody cannot avail. Both the sections expressed their thankfulness to the retired staff for rendering their service tirelessly to the Department. The farewell programme was presided over by Joint Director IPR, Limawati Ao, while invocation prayer was offered by Deputy Director, Kevizayieno.
