IRCS, Dimapur launches ambulance to serve Dimapur

Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): Another instrument to serve humanity, the Indian Red Cross Society, Dimapur District Branch today launched its ambulance to cater  maedical services to Dimapurians.Its office was also inaugurated at the DC Office Complex with Tovihoto Aye, Chairman DMC, as the chief guest. Speaking at the inaugural function, Tovihoto Aye appreciated and congratulated the humanitarian work which the IRCS, Dimapur District Branch has been doing in Dimapur district in the last few years. While pointing out that calamities are uncertain, he said, ‘The Indian Red Cross Society are always present and will be present in the future.’ He reminded that the greatest service to humankind is to serve the people and further expressed his hope that the IRCS would continue to help patients by providing the ambulance at a subsidized rate. 

Nzimongo Ngullie, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur & Chairman IRCS, Dimapur branch who also spoke on the occasion said that the ambulance was launched for the welfare of the people. He urged the members to contribute to it. He also informed the gathering that that District Disability Rehabilitation Centre has been taken up by the IRCS. The charge of the ambulance was handed over to Ato Yepthomi, Life Member of IRCS & Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association, Gohoshe Awomi and Rahman. The IRCS also expressed gratitude   to Hekali Zhimomi, former Deputy Commissioner Dimapur for initiating and showing her concern for the people and the IRCS. 

Earlier, the dedication prayer was offered by Rev.N.Tzudir, Pastor DABA, welcome address by Kuldeep Jain, Honorary Jt. Secretary IRCS, Dimapur while the vote of tanks was offered by A.Rahman. The programme was chaired by Capt.Hekiye Sema (Retd), Honorary Secretary.
