Kohima, June 7 (MExN): The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Nagaland State Branch in collaboration with The Genesis Fitness Club, Lerie Colony and the Blood Bank, NHA, Kohima organised a blood donation camp at The Genesis Fitness Club, Lerie Kohima on June 7.
The camp began with an invocation by Arep Tzudir, Pastor of Kohima Ao Baptist Church. Dr Avila, Medical Officer at the Blood Bank, Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima, addressed the attendees, emphasising the critical importance of blood donation and how it can save countless lives.
Akhale V Khamo, General Secretary, IRCS Nagaland State Branch, delivered a short speech on the principles of the Red Cross, highlighting its humanitarian mission and the vital role it plays in providing emergency assistance, disaster relief, and education in communities.
A total of 13 donors donated blood during the camp.
