IRCSN & ICRC conduct medical camp at Sungro

Kohima, April 4 (MExN): The Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State branch in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) conducted a medical camp at Sungro, Wokha district on March 25, 2011.
The inaugural function was chaired by Mhao Ezung, honorary secretary, IRCS, Wokha district branch. Gracing the camp as the chief guest, Rovilatuo Mor, Deputy Commissioner & chairman, IRCS, Wokha district branch, called upon the gathering to come forward to work together hand in hand for the cause of humanity.
Zakie Kire, general secretary IRCSN and Sahadeo Rowoot, ICRC delegate also addressed the gathering. Shaying Sheu, EAC in-charge of Sungro and Dr. Woben, medical officer PHC Sungro delivered welcome address and vote of thanks respectively. The team members consists of Dr. S. Imkong Tushi Ao, member MC IRCSN, Dr. R. Zinyu, member MC IRCSN, Dr. Daisy, medical officer, Wokha, Dr. Yanrenthung Jami, medical officer, Wokha, Sahadeo Rawoot, ICRC delegate, Zakie Kire general secretary, IRCSN, Kholie Dolf, member MC IRCSN, Lucy Merry APO IRCSN, Aja Zinyu ICRC coordinator, Khonbeni, attendant Wokha and Dr. Woben, medical officer PHC Sungro and his staff. Altogether, 168 patients were examined and provided free medicines. Two minor surgeries and seven tooth extractions were also done at the camp.
