The love of God is beyond the limit of man’s love. The pride of man is taking revenge. The natural man cannot be a true peace maker. True peace makers are men and women who have the indwelling of the Spirit of God. The natural man is arrogant but the Spirit of God is humble. My younger brother was killed by another man while hunting. According to Naga customary law, the whole family of the murderer has to be deposed for seven years, the house was to be destroyed and even the standing crop is to be abandoned. It is the customary law but I became a believer of Christ and because of the Holy Spirit in me, he was forgiven and he was advised to seek God and the families should come closer than before. It is not I who did it but it is the Holy Spirit in me who has done it.
Are there many Creators of the heavens and the earth? There is only one Creator. Men and women who do not know Him will not have peace but those who have come to know Him will have peace and joy. As long as I had been in animistic religion, I had been a slave of darkness but when I became a believer of Jesus Christ, I found peace and joy. Had I been in animistic religion, I would have allowed the customary law to take its own course but the Holy Spirit in me made me a different man and I had compassion on the murderer.
Can the Spirit of God create hatred and allow men and women to venture in destroying and killing fellow men and women? God said, “Do not pay evil for evil. It is mine to avenge.”
The world is a temporal home and life after death is eternal. Life in the world is a matter of years but life after death is a matter of eternity. Christ taught us to serve as servants in the world in order to be kings in eternity. Many people seek to perpetuate their rule over the people throughout the span of years which cause bloodshed and losses of thousands of lives.
