Zahid Ahmed Laskar of Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur secured the top position in the Commerce stream in the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) exam results declared on May 24.
Securing a pass percentage of 99.20% and scoring cent percent marks (100) in Business Studies, Entrepreneurship and Fundamentals of Business Mathematics, he states that there is no magic formula in attaining academic success. It takes grit, determination and hard-work.
Quiet and reserved, Laskar interacted with media persons at his school on May 24 after the declaration of the results during which he revealed he want to become a Chartered Accountant. For this, Laskar plans to go out of state and hope to pursue studies in one of the prestigious colleges in the country.
On his study routine leading up to the final exams, Laskar said he followed a constant routine of studying for specific hours every day besides attending tuitions.
“I would like to thank all my teachers for their guidance, parents for their ceaseless support, school authorities and friends for continuing to support me all throughout the journey,” he said.
