Kohima, May 6 (MExN): Teachers at Itiki School Dimapur were oriented on inclusive education and whole-school approaches to inclusion during a workshop held on May 2.

The workshop was led by Lanusongla Lemtur, President of the Keystone Education Society, and focused on key areas including inclusive education, special educational needs, models of disability, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).

According to a press release, the sessions highlighted practical strategies to help teachers support diverse learners in mainstream classrooms and foster a school environment where every child can participate and thrive.

The workshop forms part of the Keystone@School programme, launched at Itiki School in April 2026, aimed at strengthening inclusive practices through training, on-site coaching, and resource development for teachers, school leaders, students, and parents.

Speaking at the programme, Lemtur said a whole-school approach is essential to ensure inclusion moves beyond policy and becomes part of everyday classroom practice, informed a press release received here.
