JAC for Dhobinala-Signal-Thahekhu-Rangapahar Road appeal

Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): The Joint Action Committee (JAC) for Dhobinala-Signal-Thahekhu-Rangapahar Road, while expressing gratitude to the Department of PWD (Roads & Bridges) for taking up the construction works of the said road has made an appeal to speed up the construction work.   The appeal note issued by the Joint Action Committee Convenor K K Yepthomi stated that bringing a sigh of relief to the people of 13 villages and colonies affected by the road, the construction works of the said road commenced on 20th October 2015. “However, even after almost 3 months, the works have progressed at a very slow pace thereby causing much inconvenience to the commuters, especially for school and college going children and sick people,” the JAC added.  

It also stated that owing to slow pace of works, public have been pressurizing the JAC to press for expediting the works. And, considering the execution of works at the present pace would take months to complete, which would be well beyond the stipulated time. Therefore, JAC appeal to the department to expedite the works in the interest of all concerned.   Meanwhile, JAC would also like to assure that the committee would continue to render its utmost co-operation and support towards the department for smooth execution of the works, in the spirit and in action in which the committee have support the department in the past.
