Dimapur, January 5: Expressing shock over the murder of nine persons whose bodies were recovered on Friday in Pachaspura area, Chumukedima, Dimapur and the attack on Akivito A. Sumi, who succumbed to his injuries on December 30, N. Jacob Zhimomi, MLA and Chairman, Development Authority Nagaland has condemned the two incidents in strongest terms.
In a statement, Jacob said such ugly and impulsive incidents have no place in a civilized society and appealed to all peace loving and like-minded people to out-rightly condemn and denounce such kind of incidents which are against peace and the norms of humanity.
He also appealed to the public to maintain peace and calm and co-operate with the law enforcing agencies in their investigation. He further appealed to the public not to spread rumors that would create apprehension in the society.
