Dimapur, August 31 (MExN): Expressing shock that the NSCN-IM could claim to be working for the Nagas when it was only casting terror and inhuman affliction, Nagaland Baptist Churches Council (NBCC) has asked that the underground organization compensate the victims of the Jalukie arson. The NBCC has termed the perpetration of the NSCN-IM as “sheer sadistic.”
The razing of 30 houses in Jalukie Zangdi village on August 30 by underground cadres was heartrending, stated a note from Zhabu Terhuja general secretary of the NBCC. “When the gory arson on Wungram colony few months ago is still fresh in memory, it is shocking to read that a government claiming to be working for the destiny of the Nagas has to cast such terror and inhuman infliction on …Zangdi village” the NBCC regretted. “It is sheer sadistic” it added while making clear that NSCN-IM must pay back the victims with appropriate compensation. “Our deep sympathy goes to the suffering people and we pray that in such a time of tragedy, they will find solace and strength from the Lord” the NBCC prayed for the victims.
