Jalukie gets new fire station building

Peren, February 5 (MExN): Minister for Fire & Emergency Services, SIRD and Relief & Rehabilitation, Pohwang Konyak inaugurated the newly constructed fire station building at Jalukie under Peren district on February 5.
A DIPR report stated that the new fire station building has been constructed at a total cost of Rs 170.44 lakhs. The building construction which commenced from June 2016 completed in the year 2019.
Minister Pohwang Konyak in his address said that to modernize and strengthen the number of fire stations across the state, the State Government is taking up the initiative in the best possible way.
He urged the general public to cooperate with the fire fighter personnel for timely intervention at times when fire breaks out to minimize the loss of lives and properties. He also reminded the public, police personnel, administrations, fire personnel and councils to work together and properly maintain the infrastructure provided.
The inaugural function was chaired by IG (F & ES), Neilasa Sopfü while brief report on Fire Station, Jalukie was delivered by SE (PEP), Imnajungba Jamir. Short speeches were also delivered by ADC Jalukie, Dr Tinojongshi Chang and SDPO Peren, Vikato Thonger.
