Jalukie Town Council launch ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): The Jalukie Town Council organized a launching programme of 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign, a culmination of the celebration of 75 years of India's Independence, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Jalukie Town Council Hall on August 11, a DIPR report stated.  ADC & Administrator, Jalukie Town Council, TL Kiusumong Tikhir, in his speech, said the purpose of 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' nationwide campaign is to honour the freedom fighters who have sacrificed their lives to protect the freedom and pride of the country.  He also informed that along with the rest of the country, the events will be organized at various levels, from panchayat and village to block, urban local bodies, state and national levels. Further, the ADC highlighted some of the various activities/programmes to be carried out during the period of the campaign.

Earlier, the function began with flag hoisting & singing of national anthem by the students of JNV, while reading out of Panch Pran Pledge was led by EAC Jalukie, Sizin Renttah.
