While I was studying in the Baptist English School, Kohima we planned to scale Mount Japfü with Nitso Shiza and other class mates. Nitso said I will get my Jeep, will you drive it? I said yes by all means. We purchased cans of food and juices to carry with us in the Jeep. On the eventful day Nitso informed me that he cannot get his Jeep as his parents objected. I told my mother that we cannot go to Japfü as we cannot take the Jeep. She said no problem, all of you have a good meal at home, I will cook for you. Thus, the Japfü team assembled in our home in PWD Hill.
To our surprise my father also came back early from the office and joined us and we had a sumptuous meal at home. This union with my friends and family was planned by the divine source and we enjoyed every moment in the comfort of home. This was a memorable day that we all dearly remember.
I still have a desire to climb up the ~9500 feet scenic peak that gave the name Switzerland of the East to Nagaland. I am sure one day I will.
