ZSUN president Adaube Hiekha declared the JBBCYD annual sports meet open by ceremoniously kicking off a foot ball on December 27.
JALUKIE, DECEMBER 27 (MExN): The three-day long annual sports meet, 2023 of Jalukie ‘B’ Baptist Church Youth Department began on Wednesday at the local ground.
Speaking on the occasion as a special guest, Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) president Adaube Hiekha stressed that participating in sports goes beyond just winning, stating that every athlete aspires for their team’s success while learning to understand and respect each other.
He acknowledged that failure is inevitable in any race, “but it is the determination not to give up that uplifts us and drives us towards growth.” Adaube urged the participants to prioritize education, emphasizing that it’s the key to a bright future.
The inaugural ceremony was compered by Ado Hegeu while a special number was presented by Indetgongbe and oath taking was administered by Keniengulie. Invocation was pronounced by Deacon Suidibe and benediction was pronounced by Kitopungle.
