JCB India officially launched the new JCB NXT 225LCM excavator in Nagaland which was unveiled during a ceremony at Zone Niathu by the Park, Chümoukedima on June 19. It also introduced the JCB 530-110 Telehandler for Material Handling applications.
Speaking during the event, Kechangulie Rio, proprietor of Chabou & Co the principal dealership for JCB in the State, noted “Our dealership is contributing significantly to the infrastructure development in the State of Nagaland.” He said the launch of the new model will pave way for larger construction activities in the days to come.
Providing a brief overview of his construction firm, he said it began in the year 2011 at City Tower, Dimapur. Later, a full-fledged dealership for JCB was opened in March 2013 by the company’s head chairman, Lord Bamford. “We have been serving the state for more than 13 years now and we plan to do for many years to come,” he added.
With the company already expanding its services to Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung, it also plans to venture into the Eastern area of Nagaland as well, he revealed. Further adding that as Infrastructure development gains pace in Nagaland, we will continue to invest in the business.
According to the company, the JCBNXT 225LC M is part of the new series known as the premier line and is designed for arduous and tough Indian operating conditions in the most demanding of applications. The machine is capable to perform large-scale earthwork applications, quarries and mining applications.
Meanwhile the JCB 530-110 is engineered to offer breakthrough productivity across industries and applications including construction material supply, building construction, roads, agriculture, tunnelling.
Sarvanan, Regional Business Head for NE region, reported that JCB has been the number 1 supplier of excavators in the Northeast region as of November 2023. He mentioned that so far the company has managed to sell over 2062 machineries in the region.
The new excavator weighs at 22.2 tonnes and has a heavy-duty dig-end for the next level of durability for high uptime and lower repair costs. The machine is powered by a Cummins 148hp, 626Nm torque engine with an inline fuel injection system. This Robust fuel system will help in ease of maintenance and repairs, the company official said.
