This demand being “non negotiable,” the JCPI asked the State Government to immediately get into the practical aspects of implementing the ILP with proper standard operating procedure backed by clear cut official notification.
It demanded that the State Government should immediately get into the practical aspect of implementing ILP with proper standard operating procedures backed by clear cut official notifications. A press release from JCPI Convener, K Ghoketo Chopi and Secretary, Tia Longchar meanwhile observed that the committee’s deadline of January 31, 2020 for submission of the Banuo Commission report on the RIIN “has been utterly ignored.”
With regard to this, it informed all tribal apex bodies along with all leading mass based civil society organizations working along with JCPI to converge for a meeting at 11:00am at Saramati Hotel, Dimapur on February 18 in order to plan the future course of action.
