JD (U) Kiphire unit merges with NDPP

Felicitation programme for JDU at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall organized by NDPP Kiphire at Kiphire town.

 

Kiphire, October 16 (MExN): The Kiphire unit of the JDU merged with the NDPP on October 15 at Hopongkyu Memorial hall, in a programme attended by party ranks and file.


Addressing the gathering at the felicitation programme, Chuba Chang, former Home Minister and Senior Vice President NDPP stated that JDU merging with NDPP is a new beginning for the progress and development of the district and called upon all party ranks and files to work harder to strengthen PDA government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio.


Urging the party members not to be swayed by media speculation, he asserted that PDAs government will complete its full five years term as mandated by the people under the leadership of the Chief Minister. 


Speaking at the felicitation programme, T Yangseo Sangtam Ex. Candidate JDU 60 A/C expressed his gratitude to JDU party ranks and files for reposing faith in him by resigning e-mass and joining NDPP assuring his followers that he will serve them with more dedication. 


Further Victor Angami, Vice President, NDPP called upon the party to maintain unity which is the hallmark of NDPP and also expressed his appreciation to JDU Kiphire for merging with NDPP for a greater cause.


Keritong Sangtam, Secretary, NDPP Nagaland also briefed party members about free enrollment drive going on in the district and urged party rank and file to make NDPP the biggest and strongest political party. 


A short speech was also delivered by Kongthrong Yimchunger, ex President, JDU, Pungro Unit.


The programme was chaired by Atsoba Anar, GS, NDPP, Kiphire, while presidential address was delivered by S. Tsaseto Sangtam, President, NDPP, Kiphire.
