Jennifer Aniston proves that Brad's words can't touch her

She's been the one lumbered with the sour grapes for all these years but life appears to be tasting sweeter for Jennifer Aniston. The 42-year-old stepped out earlier today to stroll through Manhattan to a lunch date in the West Village with boyfriend Justin Theroux, 40.
It's rare to see the movie star, who has been based in L.A for years, walk amongst crowds, but this is a different Jennifer we're seeing. The former Friends star seems utterly content and in love with Renaissance man Theroux, and she's making it clear that the insensitive remarks from her ex-husband have no currency with her.
Pitt's comments are certainly curiously timed. He's remained quiet since the couple's 2005 split only to infer the marriage was dull in an interview now Aniston seems to have found love at long last. There's some argument to suggest that the Moneyball star may be protesting too much about his past and present lives. And of all Aniston's loves since Brad, Justin is the most (or least) like him - an edgy character sporting leather often astride a motorbike, and this perhaps riles the star. Or perhaps, the good-looking younger man is the kind of rebel the father-of-six would like to be, either way, it seems that Mr Pitt is a bit miffed that his ex has finally moved on.
But Brad has failed to rain on Jennifer's parade with his interview in the magazine of the same name, as she is safely inside her love bubble. Last night the couple shared a joke as they made their way into a waiting car and headed off to the launch of clothing line Hoyle Jackson at Bloomingdale’s. Jennifer was there to support creators of the brand and twin sisters Nina and Clare Hallworth, who have styled the actress for over 15 years.
The pair's date night came after a no doubt difficult day for the Friends star, and today the couple made a point of being seen as they strolled through the city to a lunch in the West Village, as onlookers stared. It's quite a clear signal to Brad, 47, that Jennifer couldn't give a fig what he thinks about their past.
Pitt claimed he had been leading a an 'uninteresting' life, referring  to his marriage to the Horrible Bosses star.  His comments came at an insensitive time for the actress, who rushed to Los Angeles to be by her mother Nancy's hospital bedside after she suffered a stroke at the weekend.
