With the theme, “Future Vision,” the 69th General Conference of Japukong Kaketshir Mungdang (JKM), the apex student’s body of Japukong Range, one of the six mountain range inhabited by the Aos in Mokokchung district will kick-off at Satsükba Village on January 13. The three days conference beside the formal programme and deliberation on various students’ issue will showcase competition in various cultural and sporting events.
The Minister for National Highway, Mechanical Engineering & Election, Nuklutoshi Longkumer will grace the opening day as the Chief Guest. Besides the minister, Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture & Chairman NSAMB, Benjongliba Aier will open the Conference’s Hall while Executive Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Mokokchung, Er. J Lanu Longchar will open the cultural and sporting event. The Director of Soil & water Conservation, T Imkongmar Aier is the Valedictory Guest.
The main speakers of the conference, Dr. Sunep Imchen, Deputy Chierf Veterinary Office Mokokchung and Supo Jamir, Advocate will deal on the topic, “Advancement Through New Ideas” and “Progressive Society by Revitalisation of Social Responsibilities” respectively.
