Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): In the next round, the NPCC has asked for the disbanding of the JLF before NPF and its legislators talk about election. “JLF can’t serve two masters,” said a press release from the NPCC. “There are no two opinions that State election will come one day even if solution comes from the ongoing political dialogue. Yet, there’s also no denying the fact that all parties involved directly or indirectly wants the solution to come before the notification of the election 2013,” said the NPCC. “Silent preparations may go on by an individual candidate or party organizations but making public statements on election at this juncture contravenes the wishes of the parties involved and confuses the general public.”
The NPCC also reiterated its stand that the JLF resolution should be the means to the solution, not an end for the solution. “The objective of the JLF should be to pave the way for solution and not to pave the way after the solution,” said NPCC. If the JLF resolution is “not an ultimatum but an expression of optimism”, the NPCC does not see how it helps expedite a solution.
Removing any “misconception” that NPF might have about the formation of the JLF, the NPCC said that it was not the achievement of the NPF or the Chief Minister alone as this is the issue that “brought the CLP into the circumstance”.
Taking a jab at Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Küzholüzo (Azo) Nienu, NPCC said that he was pampered enough by the Chief Minister to earn him “the reputation of being dubbed as the playboy face of the DAN government”. Alleging that his public office has been blatantly misused, the NPCC’s statement also said that “A condom vending machine was imported for others but not for himself. The numbers of children produced from different mothers while in public office are the living proof.”
Saying that the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) should come out with details of Azo’s “itinerary as Chief Guest and the sources of hard cash donated by him”, NPCC also pointed out that crores of public money has been spent on donations by the “hyperactive young minister” known to grace “all occasions as Chief Guest except of course, the birthday party and wedding ceremony”.
