JNV Chare holds awareness rally on national integration

Tuensang, November 25 (MExN): JNV Chare, Tuensang organized a public awareness rally on national integration on November 23 as part of the Quami Ekta Week (National Integration Week) being observed all over the country from November 19-25.  

Holding posters and placards with messages of national integration, students along with teachers carried out the national integration procession in Chare after a formal programme in the school campus, informed a press release.  

The National Integration Pledge was administered by Harish Kalita, Principal I/C JNV Chare with a view to work with dedication to preserve and strengthen the freedom and integrity of the nation, to never resort to violence and to continue to endeavour towards settlement of all differences and disputes relating to religion, language, region or other political or economic grievances by peaceful and constitutional means.  

While motivating the students to live in unity and give valuable contribution towards the national growth, he also urged the students to reinforce the spirit of communal harmony and reconnect with the sense of belonging of the great nation. “Students are the nation builders and by being part of such programmes with utmost unity and co-ordination, one can play an important role in maintaining national integrity and unity of the nation,” he added.  

Earlier, in the Master-on-Duty speech at the Morning Assembly, Shahidul Islam, TGT-Assamese urged the students to foster and reinforce the spirit of communal harmony, national integration and pride in vibrant, composite culture and nationhood.  

Different activities including poster making, essay writing, quiz competition etc on the occasion were organized in the school after the procession.
