Jo Foundation celebrates parents’ day in Kohima

Kohima, October 6 (MExN): Jo Foundation Inclusive School celebrated its parents’ day at the school campus on October 4.


A DIPR report stated that Principal Secretary, School Education & SCERT, Menukhol John, who graced the function as the guest speaker appreciated performances presented by the students of Jo Foundation and also acknowledged the hand written invitation card he received from the school. 


The Principal Secretary while appreciating the proprietor of the school, Daniel Thong and Dr. Asunu Thong said that both of them have gone through a lot of challenges and hardships in the initial period of their journey but today they have become steward of blessings to many of the parents and the students. He congratulated them for taking a lunge to make Jo Foundation an inclusive school that has brought about changes and comforts to the lot of parents and students terming it ‘an Ark’. He also thanked the teachers of the school for their concern to take care of all the students and nurturing them and called upon the students to obey their teachers and parents.


Chairman, Jo Foundation, Daniel Thong in his welcome address said Jo Foundation is an inclusive school, where special children can also come and study with normal children without any bias and prejudice and learn to coexist with one other. He also said the school teaches the students to develop empathy and not sympathy.   

 
The highlights of the function were musical melodies from film theme songs presentation by the students from all the different classes and a Mansurai Kungfu demonstration.
