KOHIMA, MARCH 7 (MExN): T John Longkumer was sworn-in as the State Election Commissioner, Nagaland on March 7. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima. Kenilo Apon, Commissioner & Secretary, Urban & Municipal Affairs, conducted the proceedings, with J Alam, Chief Secretary, administering the oath of office, informed a DIPR release. Longkumer was appointed to the post on January 30. A retired IPS officer of the 1991 batch, Chhattisgarh Cadre, Longkumer retired as Director General of Police, Nagaland, in January 2023.
