Kohima, February 5 (MExN): Johny G Rengma has been appointed as a Non Official Director on the board of Directors of the National Schedule Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), New Delhi in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India with effect from February 2 for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Other two persons were also appointed – Amar Singh Pawar and KV Nagandra – along with Johny G Rengma. His appointment was issued by K. Chandra Sekar, Under Secretary, Government of India.
In a press statement, Johny G Rengma extended gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, national BJP president Amit Shah and Chief Minister of Nagaland TR Zeliang for entrusting him with a national responsibility to work for the development and welfare of Tribal communities in the country.
“I assure to our Tribal community in India that I will give my utmost sincerity to the responsibilities entrusted to me for the social economic upliftment of our tribal population in India,” he stated.
