Mongsenyimti (Mokokchung), April 6 (MExN): Nagaland Minister for PWD, Tongpang Ozukum has called on his supporters and citizens of 24 Angetyongpang A/C to be a part of the progress that the Naga society will undergo in the days to come.
He was speaking at a felicitation programme at his native village Mongsenyimti on Friday. The programme was attended by hundreds of supporters and well-wishers and also Advisors to the Government of Nagaland Dr Longri and Imnatiba.
Ozukum, a former NSF president who was elected as an Independent, declared community development as his first priority and added that he nursed a strong aspiration to work for the overall development of the Naga society.
In this regard, he said that his aspirations to serve the Naga people – for development and progress – is stronger now; he therefore, reiterated his clarion call to the Angetyongpang A/C people to join hands and be a partaker in bringing development to Naga society.
“Whether we take part in a big or small way, let us (Angetyongpang A/C) take part in bringing progress in the Naga society,” he urged.
Ozukum extended heartfelt gratitude to his supporters and electorates for reposing their faith in him and electing him while also giving all praise to God. Nonetheless, he urged his supporters to reach out to the opposing parties, to join hands and work for a better Naga society. He added that his house will always be open for the people, and therefore urged the people to partake in the ‘change’ that the PDA Government under Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio envisages.
The felicitation programme, held at Ajajima Mongsenyimti village, witnessed reposing and reiterating speeches from all the twelve units under 24 Angetyongpang A/C.
The Women Wing Salulamang presented a traditional song whilst an array of leaders from the constituency delivered speeches.
