Tuensang Town, February 10 (MExN): A joint forum of the CKS, USLP, KTC and the Tuensang Town All Ward Union was held today, unanimously agreeing to maintain peace and tranquillity in Tuensang town. The forum resolved to jointly co-ordinate to shun violence and to initiate prompt action against any individual/group that violates the resolution.
According to a press note from the forum, the meeting resolved that any new person/family coming to reside permanent or temporary in Tuensang town should inform to the concerned sector/ward union leaders, and the same will be intimated to the respective village unions of Tuensang Town.
“Untimely/overtime gathering in groups and any individual loiters in suspicious manner should be checked by the respective sector/ ward,” it was further stated.
The joint forum decided to approach and coordinate with the government for security measures, while also resolving to approach the DC and SP, Tuensang for deployment of security personnel for night patrolling in order to maintain peaceful atmosphere in Tuensang Town in co-ordination with sector/ ward unions.
