Minister Tongpang Ozukum accompanied by other officials conducted a joint inspection for extension of PWD Rental Housing Phase-III Complex boundary at Dimapur on October 15.

Dimapur, October 15 (MExN): Minister for PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum accompanied by department officers led by Chief Engineer (Housing) and the NPF party leaders from both Central and Dimapur division had a joint inspection for extension of PWD Rental Housing Phase-III Complex boundary at Dimapur on October 15.

A press release appended by Executive Engineer, PWD (H) Division Dimapur stated that as requested by the Minister and the department, the NPF party leaders agreed to part with 10x162 feet towards NPF plot by knocking down the existing boundary wall between the two plots.

It may be mentioned that Minister had on November 7, 2021 written to NPF party president Dr Shourhozielie Liezeitsu requesting to the party to donate some portion of the plot for the purpose of parking space for the tenants of PWD Rental Housing.

The second land issue settled was the boundary between the same PWD Rental Housing Complex and GPS Landmark Colony. Minister initiated a joint inspection with the leaders of Landmark colony and the school management board in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur. After a threadbare discussion between PWD (Housing) Department and the council members of Landmark colony agreed to settle the matter amicably providing sufficient space for the entrance of PWD Rental Housing complex, the release stated.

It was further agreed to construct boundary walls on both sides of the Rental Housing complex at the earliest so that no dispute will arise in future between these three entities.

On behalf of the department, Minister thanked the NPF party and Landmark Colony Council members for their magnanimity in settling the much-needed boundary extension and demarcation issue. The Minister also inspected the ongoing construction of Demonstration Housing Project (DHP) at Sematilla, Dimapur.
