Peren, September 4 (MExN): A joint verification team of Nagaland Police and Peren District Administration headed by IGP (Range), Lima Sunep Jamir, and ADC Jalukie accompanied by DIG (IR) South, SP Peren, CO 9th NAP (IR) Bn, SDPO Peren and EAC Ngwalwa conducted on-spot verification of reported development activities at the Lamhainamdi village (UR) on September 3.

The team found no alarming development activities at the disputed area except for regular cleaning of own surroundings by the villagers and renovation of existing houses in the village, a DIPR report informed.

Later the team held an interaction and briefing with the security forces stationed at the village and also with the villagers during which, the team were reminded to maintain the status quo and abstain from any developmental activities for peace and tranquility in the area.

The team also visited the Kehoi (UR) Platoon post and took stock of the situation in the adjoining areas. The IGP (Range) instructed the IRB Company posted there to ensure no new development of any kind without the approval of the District Administration and maintain the status quo without any violation of government directives, the DIPR report added.
